La Sauge, May 22-23 2024

Habe mit Rob Ward abgemacht einen Vogelausflug (seinen ersten) zu machen in La Sauge, nicht weit von seinem Segelboot in Cudrefin. Ich bin am Tag davor um 14:00 angekommen und habe selber einen Ausflug gemacht richtug Cudrefin, wo ich viele Vögel gehört habe aber wenig gesehen; dann über die Brücke auf die Fanel-Seite mit den hunderten von Kormorane. Dort war ich begeisterte Rohrammer zu fotografieren - bis ich mit zwei Italienern geredet habe und heraus gefunden, dass sie gerade neben mir Bartmeisen fotografiert - einer der Vögel auf meiner Zu-Finden-Liste. Na ja, dann muss ich wieder hin! A total of 18 species is included, 18 of them have been observed.

It's always great to visit the nature areas of La Sauge. The first day I heard a lot of birds that I never saw. I also missed the chance to see and photograph a Bartmeise, one of my big goals this year. And on the 23rd, it rained buckets, although the forecast the day before had said it'd be dry.
