Back to Levanto, 4.-11. October 2025

We enjoyed late-summer weather in October. And I discovered a new bird...the red-billed leiothrix. First I heard it behind our house and on the way to Bonassola, and on our last morning in Levanto, I was able to photograph it from our kitchen - unfortunately through the window screen, which affected the quality. Wikipedia says, This bird is very active and an excellent singer but very secretive and difficult to see. A total of 4 species is included.
