General: The Chocó vireo (Vireo masteri) is a species of bird in the family Vireonidae that was discovered by Paul Salaman in 1991 and described in 1996.[2] It is found in western Colombia and has recently been found in north-west Ecuador.[3] Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
