Red crossbill / Fichtenkreuzschnabel (Loxia curvirostra)Diese hatte ich beim Stazersee bei St. Moritz gehoert, dann zum ersten mal hier in den Bergen bei Wildhaus gesehen. Es sieht aus als ob der den Schnabel gar nicht zu kriegt. Er ist gut gemacht um Fichtenzapfen aufzumachen.

Eurasian wren / Zaunkönig (Troglodytes troglodytes)Diesen habe ich am Luppmen in Feburar 2021 gesehen - so sieht man, dass sie bei uns auch überwintern. Man sieht sie nicht haeufig im Dorf, aber schon ab und zu. Laut Wikipedia 'der drittkleinste Vogel Europas. Lange Zeit wurde er Schneekönig genannt, da er auch im Winter lebhaft singt.

Whinchat / Braunkehlchen (Saxicola rubetra)I saw a (mating?) pair in a canola field in Fehraltorf, but they only stayed a few days. I was surprised to see this one in Septemer in Levanto in Ligura, Italy, presumably migrating through the area.

Im Wald beim Schützenhaus habe ich diese Mönchsgrasmücke fotografiert und erst hinterher gesehen, dass hier eine kleine Geschichte abspielt. Hier sie das Weibchen was Interessante (sogar Leckeres) auf dem Ast wo sie sitzt...

Eurasian jay / Eichelhäher (Garrulus glandarius)Ich habe einen grossen, eher hellen Vogel im Wald gesehen, der von Baum zu Baum geflogeln ist. Ich war erstaunt zu sehen dass es eine Eichelhäher (Annas Lieblingsvogel) war - ich wusste gar nicht, dass sie hier leben.

Black cap warbler / Mönchsgrasmücke (Sylvia atricapilla)Ich hatte mich lange gefragt, wer am Luppmen neben dem Haus so passioniert singt. Erst als ich diesen Vogel fuer ein Foto von der Bruecke aus erwischt habe, konnte ich sagen, es ist eine Mönchsgrasmücke. Mönch sagt man wegen der schwarzen 'Kappe'. Mit Gras oder Mücken haben sie gar nichts zu tun; laut Wikipedia kommt der Name aus dem Althochdeutschen von Gra-smucka = Grauschlüpfer
